About our fish.
Is Tiberias a fish-only restaurant?
Tiberias is a kosher dairy and fish restaurant — no meat. Fish is the only animal protein on the menu, served alongside dairy categories: pizza, pasta, salads, and desserts.
What kinds of fish do you serve?
Salmon, branzino, tuna, and Chilean sea bass are the heart of the menu, plus cod in our fish & chips. Fresh fish has been the center of Tiberias since 2010, serving you only the best!
Are your fish dishes dairy?
Many are. We're a dairy kitchen, so fish often comes with butter, cream, or cheese: branzino in lemon butter, salmon over parmesan risotto, salmon caesar. The fish itself is pareve, so some dishes are dairy-free — just ask and we'll point you to them.
What kosher certification covers the fish?
OK Kosher Certification under Chalav Yisrael, Kemach Yashan, and Mashgiach Temidi standards — fish vetted by our on-site mashgiach, all sauces and breading certified. The current certificate is linked in the footer.
What's the best fish on the menu?
Honestly, we're proud of every fish we put in front of you. Three wear the gold ‘Signature' marker our regulars come back for — Honey Glazed Salmon, Branzino, and Salmon Risotto. But between us: if it's your first time, you have to try the Chilean Sea Bass.
Do you have fish options for Shabbat?
Yes — order ahead. We're closed Friday and Saturday daytime for Shabbat, so call us at 212-481-4222 and we'll have your fish packed and ready before the weekend.
